05 / FREQUENTLY ASKED

Straight answers, before you ask.

The questions we field most often, answered plainly. Anything not covered here, call us.

What does a full-service advertising agency actually do?

It handles the whole campaign under one roof — market research and strategy, creative development, production, media negotiation and buying, then trafficking, verification and reporting. The alternative is coordinating a creative shop, a media buyer and a production house separately: three contracts, three timelines, and nobody accountable for the result.

How long does it take to get a campaign live?

Plan on four to six weeks from approved creative to posting for most out-of-home. Roughly one to two weeks to negotiate and confirm the buy, one to two weeks for production and shipping, then installation on the contracted posting date. Digital placements can go live in days. Airport and premium inventory needs longer, because it is booked further ahead.

How much does a billboard cost?

It depends on the market, the traffic volume and the format. In a major metro, a standard bulletin typically ranges from a few thousand dollars per four-week cycle up into five figures for premium high-impact locations; posters and digital rotations cost less. Production and installation are separate line items. We quote against your budget and target market rather than a fixed rate card.

What is the minimum budget to run out-of-home?

Meaningful out-of-home generally starts in the five figures per month once media, production and installation are counted — enough frequency in one market to be remembered rather than a single sign nobody sees twice. On a smaller budget you are better off tightening the geography or using digital rotations than spreading thin across a whole metro.

How does airport advertising work?

Airport inventory is sold through the media concessionaire holding the contract for each airport, not by the airport itself. Terms typically run from four weeks to twelve months depending on the position — baggage claim, jet bridges, tunnels, gates and concourses all price differently. Inventory is finite and often committed months ahead, so premium positions need reserving early.

Do you handle creative, or only the media buy?

Both. Strategy, creative direction, graphic art, messaging, copywriting, audio and video production and jingle creation are all in house alongside the media buying. You can bring finished artwork and use us purely as a buyer, or hand over the brief and get the entire campaign.

How is out-of-home advertising measured?

The industry standard is Geopath, which models impressions, reach and frequency for each placement using travel pattern and demographic data. Alongside those ratings we track campaign-specific signals — landing page traffic, promo code redemption, store visits and sales lift in the target market against a control.

Why is out-of-home sold in four-week cycles?

Out-of-home has always been bought in four-week periods rather than calendar months, so a year is thirteen cycles, not twelve. Posting dates fall at the start of each cycle, which is why creative deadlines are keyed to the posting date and why a late approval can push a campaign a full four weeks.
